This remarkable slab of English Oak was saved from my local forest after being felled , after slicing it up with my chain saw it was stacked then left to air dry for 5 years, Slowly air drying oak retains a lot more of its colour than kiln drying does.

English Oak has a natural beauty unlike any other which is why it commands such a high price! Not to dark and not to light and adorned with such stunning figure it is surely one of the finest, and this piece doesn’t disappoint.

After flattening and hours of sanding this coffee table has been given two coats of lemon oil and then several coats of a hard wearing wax oil to help protect your table from every day use.
