Wooden Jewellery Box, Black Walnut and English Oak  

I made this jewellery box from a beautifully figured piece of oak, with a bark inclusion which really sets it apart.

The oak is on the front, back and lid,the two ends are made from black walnut.

This jewellery box has a sliding lid, when opened you have access to the top compartment which has 12 Individual divides made from black walnut with a red oak base, the top compartment lifts out to reveal the bottom which is lined with dark red felt, this is big enough for bigger items.

i have finished this jewellery box with two coats of lemon oil and two coats of clear wax.

it measures 

9”(230mm) wide

6 1/2”(165mm) deep

3 1/2”(90mm) high
