This English Oak Wall Clock has been made from a piece of oak saved from my local forest after being blown down in a storm.
After 2 years of air drying, the large knot in the middle has done what any knot wants to do and has split apart in many directions which is a perfectly normal part of the drying process. This gives me a chance to fill it with some epoxy resin dyed blue which not only stabilises the wood from more cracking but also enhances the piece !
It has been finished with two coats of lemon oil and two coats of clear wax
