English Sweet Chestnut Wall Clock
This Sweet Chestnut Wall Clock has been made using wood gathered from a fallen tree from my local forest , after slicing it up on my bandsaw I stack them up and air dry the boards for at least two years before bringing into workshop for a few months to acclimatise them to the inside environment before working on them.
Chestnut has lovely figure and this piece has beautiful Yellow and golden hues, the natural splits and cracks caused from the wood drying out have been filled with sunset gold resin .
finished with lemon oil and two coats of clear wax
